Credits, plans and the content plan
What each action costs, what each plan includes, when credits come back, and how the content plan writes on a schedule.
Everything in elessar is priced in credits, and the plan sets how many you get a month. An article is 50. The content plan turns your credits into a schedule: article ideas drawn from your sources, each written on its day once you approve it.
What things cost
- An article: 50 credits.
- Rewrite with notes: 25 credits. A fresh take is a new article, 50.
- Fix this section: 5 credits.
- A social post: 1 credit each.
Going ahead from a plan checkpoint, approving, editing by hand, downloading and publishing cost nothing.
The plans
- Free: 100 credits a month, two articles. The brand profile, projects and sources, your blog on elessar.
- Starter: 600 credits a month, the content plan, more industry news a day.
- Pro: 2,000 credits a month, and the most of everything.
Settings → Usage & plan shows the plan, credits used of the month's allowance, how many remain, and the date the allowance resets. An owner upgrades there; the page opens billing, and the new allowance applies from that day. Every organisation you belong to has its own plan and its own credits.

When credits come back
- A run that stops on our side is not charged, and a run that stopped is refunded before you resume it.
- A run you stop yourself is not refunded. The page says so before you confirm.
- A rewrite or a fix that fails is refunded.
- Credits do not carry over from one month to the next.
When you are out, the Write sheet says so and names the day the allowance resets. Scheduled articles that are promised credits count against what is left, so the sheet may say your remaining credits are all promised; remove a scheduled item to make room.
The content plan
Plan, in the sidebar, is part of the paid plans. "Draft a plan" asks for a set of article ideas drawn from your brand and your saved sources. Nothing is written until you approve one. For each idea:
- Schedule it: choose once, weekly, fortnightly or monthly, and the project it is written from. It is written on its day, with 50 credits taken when it runs, and lands under Needs you like any other article.
- Write now: start it at once.
- Dismiss it.
Scheduled items say when they will next write. "Ask for a fresh set of article ideas" replaces the suggestions with new ones. On the Free plan the page shows what a plan looks like, with examples, until you upgrade.
If it goes wrong
- "You don't have enough credits for another article": wait for the reset, or upgrade under Settings → Usage & plan.
- "Checkout cancelled — nothing changed": the billing page was closed before paying. Nothing was taken.
- A scheduled article did not write: the organisation was out of credits on its day. Check Settings → Usage & plan, and the item on Plan says what happened.
- "Ask an owner to change the plan": only an owner can upgrade or cancel.
