Rewrite with notes
Say what should change and the article is written again from the same sources, for 25 credits.
When a draft is not what you meant, you do not have to start over. Press Rewrite on the article, say what should change, and the article is written again from the same sources with your notes in front of every step. It uses 25 credits, half an article. The draft you have stays as it is; the rewrite is a new draft beside it, and it links back to the one it revised.
Write the notes
Open the article and press Rewrite. The sheet asks "What should change?". Write it the way you would tell a colleague:
- "Lead with the cost, not the history."
- "Drop the section on regulation; we don't advise on that."
- "Shorter. Half the length, same points."
- "It reads like a textbook. Our voice is plainer."
Up to 2,000 characters. The clearer the note, the closer the rewrite.

Two choices
- Rewrite with notes · 25 credits. The same sources, written again to your notes. The evidence does not change, so what the new draft can claim is what the old one could. Use it when the problem is the writing.
- Write a fresh take instead · 50 credits. A new run from the start, which may find different sources and will settle its own topic. Use it when the problem is the subject, the angle or the kind of piece.
What the rewrite keeps
The sources, and the rule that every claim cites one. The brand voice and the kind of piece. Your notes are not a suggestion; they are the first thing each writing step reads.
What it does not do
It does not edit one paragraph. For that, use Fix this section in the editor, which costs 5 credits and leaves the rest of the article untouched. It does not change the sources. If the article needs a source it does not have, add it to the project and write a fresh take.
From the plan
If the project reviews its plan before writing, the plan card offers "Ask for a different plan". That is a fresh run with your notes, for 50 credits, because nothing has been written yet to rewrite.
If it goes wrong
- The rewrite made the same point in different words: the note asked for a change of tone, not of substance. Say what the article should say instead.
- The rewrite is shorter than you wanted: say the length you want in the note. A rewrite is held to the original's length unless told otherwise.
- "Say what should change first": the notes box is empty. A rewrite without notes is a fresh take.
